Children & Youth
Program Overview
This is a service network for children 5 to 18
years old that combines child and youth development
programs with behavior modification and counseling
interventions.
Rising Urban Stars: After-school and summer day
camp for 200 school age children, K-8th. Program
includes academics, cultural enrichment, community
service, recreation, counseling, parent resource and
nutritional program.
Teen Center: Academic
support and enrichment program that combines case
management, computer instruction, health education
(Project Discovery), leadership skills development,
college bound programs, work readiness, community
service, counseling and summer internships for 60 youth,
middle to high school.
Urban Challenges: Targets
25 youth, ages 13-17, at risk or involved with the
juvenile justice system, and offers them a dispositional
option to stay within their community and families, and
prevent further involvement.
